"More Protein Does Not Affect Bones"!

Hi Guys! Its truely said "Health is Wealth"! Here's a piece of wealthy information to be healthy.

High-protein diets followed by sports persons and bodybuilders were considered harmful to bone health by some persons. However, several studies have disproved this perception. A latest study was reported in the Journal of Nutrition. Researches from McGill University studied two groups of rats for the period of 17 months. At the end of the study, the group which was fed a high-protein diet showed higher bone-mineral content than the control group! This just means denser and stronger bones, researchers concluded.

As expected, the protein-fed rodents had less overall fat, less abdominal fat and more lean muscle.
However, such dietary and training recommendations are for healthy people. They should not be experimented on those with a pre-existing medical condition.

Kickstart Vikram -

Hello friends, perhaps no other actor in the history of Indian cinema had to go through such a long almost never-ending struggle for years to find his place in the film industry! He debuted in films with less than famous film En Kadhal Kanmani(1990), followed by more than a dozen box office non-performers, Vikram even tried his luck in other aspects of cinema, including dubbing!

After a decade of hard work and struggles, solely due to his talent and willpower to succeed, he hit an home run with Sethu(1999), one of the biggest hits in Tamil cinema. Thereafter, there was no looking back! Though he missed the National Award for this performance, his work in Bala's Pithamagan brought him the top acting honour in the country. His name became synonymous with success with back-to-back hits like Dhill,Kasi, Gemini, Pithamagan, Dhool, Saamy, Anniyan, Bheema and Kanthaswamy. Despite all this, his fans believe this is just the beginning of Vikram's success saga. And they may not be wrong.

Ace director Mani Ratnam's much anticipated Raavan, being made in Tamil and Hindi, could be a new start to another decade of success. Very little is known about the movie, but what is known that Vikram will play the antagonist in the Hindi version and protagonist in the Tamil version. Aishwariya Rai Bachachan stars in both versions. In Tamil, She is paired opposite Vikram, while in Hindi she shares screen space with her husband Abhishek Bachchan. The fact the Mani Ratnam chose Vikram to play two diverse characters in his film speaks a lot about his faith in the actor's talent and abilities. Produced under the banner of Madras Talkies, the film has completed shooting and is likely to grace screens worldwide in July.

Vikram has also stepped into production with Real Life Entertainment. Under this banner, he plans to make films with young and upcoming directors, the first venture being directed by Sasikumar. The actor is also working with Vikram K.Kumar of Yavarum Nalam Fame.Wishing him for such more forthcoming hits and successes!

Diet Diary!!!!

Hey Guy's! One look at Dipika Pallikal and it becomes cleat that squash can give us great body.

Following a particular diet is important when you start out, but after that it's about eating the right food. The intensity of squash is high and that makes it important for the player to pile on the carbohydrates. She lives in England most of the time so she need to cook for myself. She survive on pasta and juice. Pasta can help you retain your energy level throughout the training and the match. She avoid oily and fried foods. Salads and juice help you stay fit and agile. During the matches, ice creams and chocolates help to keep the sugar levels up. At home in Chennai, she eat anything home-made like rice or chicken. Almonds are a must in the morning. Plenty of water and non-skimmed milk are the other must-haves. During the matches, energy drinks keep us going. It's not about the quantity of food but the quality that matters to a sports person like me."

ANOTHER SEASON OF HOPE

Michael Schumacher's return is seen as a perfect antidote for F1 racing ravaged by lurid scandals in the last two seasons. Racing buffs believe at least now the FOCUS WILL BE ON THE TRACK rather than the pits.

Somehow the hype this tie betrays a smothering desperation of the advocates of Formula One. Two most recent world champions, both of them British, racing for the same team, the returns of a great driver - a legend in his own right, you could say - gifted with not just superlative driving skills but the temperament and nerve that defines a true champion, as Asturian, who has two world titles (2005 and 2006) under his belt, looking for redemption in a new team after having spent the last three seasons - probably his worst year on the circuit - in wilderness, three new teams on the grid , a few significant rules changes, technical and otherwise, that demand a fresh look at teams strategies.

"Michael Schumacher says he is back just for the love of racing."

"Dewars" !!!

Hi friends, do you know that the discovery of distilling took place somewhere in Asia around 800 BC? Initially the technique was used only to make perfumes. Further penned is a success story of John Stephen founder of Dewar's Scotch Whisky. Stephen has worked in the drinks industry for 10years, for the most part in Scotch Whisky.

A History graduate of the University of Aberdeen, his first job was with Oddbins managing specialist whisky retail outlets in Glasgow, Stirling and Perth. During this time he helped the brand grow to its present position as the top malt whisky retailer in the UK.

In 2003 he joined the internationally esteemed Scotch Malt Whisky Society based in Leith, Edinburgh. There he chaired a select panel of experts charged with choosing which whiskies should be bottled by the society for its private members. Stephen stamped his individual mark on the Society's tasting notes, which were regarded as authoritative, if sometimes a little irreverent, and which were widely read in the whisky world.

During this time Stephen traveled to every corner of the united kingdom hosting tasting evenings for the Society's 18000 members. He both boistered his knowledge of whisky and refined his noise by working for the spell in Ardbeg distillery on the isle of Islay off the west coast of Scotland, where he learned the art of distillation.

In 2005 Stephen was appointed as John Dewar & Sons Global Brand Ambassador, working with Malcolm Murray.

He ensures all global markets which sell the Dewar's portfolio have the necessary support in relation to promotion and education about Scotch Whisky and of course, the premium brands from the House of Dewar's, Dewar's 12, Dewar's 15, Dewar's 18,Dewar's Signature, Aberfeldy 12 and Aberfeldy 21. Stephen is passionate about Dewar's , and believes that the compelling and story of Scotch, the story of how history, tradition, Landscape, and science all combined to produce a truly unique drink, enhances the enjoyment of Scotland's finest export.

When in Scotland Stephen is based at Dewar's Wold of Whisky at the Aberfeldy Distillery in Perthshire, the global brand center of Dewar's Scotch Whisky. Here visitors get to see first-hand the art of blending Scotch Whisky and tour the Aberfeldy Malt Whisky Distillery which produces the malt that lies at the heart of the Dewar's blends.

Stephen is married and in his spare time collects dusty old records, dusty old books and visits dusty old museums.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

While the manic energy of the IPL over two seasons has swung the fortunes of some teams high and low, the Chennai outfit, almost anachronistically, has managed to retain its shape and its returns. A batting line-up that boasts Matthew Hayden, M. S. Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Mike Hussey is rarely going to be faulted on counts of consistency or performs, and it was always going to be the lack of teeth in the bowling department that was going to set a ceiling on its performance - CSK lost the final in 2008 (against Rajasthan Royals) and the semifinals in 2009 (against Royal Challengers Bangalore), defending totals.

This season, the $100,000 spent on 33-year-old washed -up Justin Kemp seems to be an investment headed for a similar end as Andrew Flintoff's. The emergence of Manpreet Gony and Shadab Jakati who punched above their weights in the respective editions meant that the nonperformance of Makhaya Ntini or a Jacob Oram was not too keenly felt. There is perhaps a lesson in their somewhere. M. Vijay, Arun Karthik, Abhinav Mukund, S. Badrinath, and G. Chandrasekhar, R. Ashwin, L. Balaji to some extent all enjoyed a good season with Tamil Nadu. If one or more of them come good, CSK might just get third time lucky. The other reason to go local is the injury situation, with Oram and Muralitharan doubtful starters while Flintoff has announced that he would skip this edition. Thilan Thushara, the left arm pacer from Sri Lanka, could be the bargain buy for $50,000 considering he would probably be pressed into service straight away.

Though in the current Indian set-up as a test batsman, M. Vijay can be a destructive bat once he settles. On the back strong season with Tamil Nadu, the opener might just prove that he is no one-trick pony.

YE MAYA CHESAVE (TELUGU)

One of the much awaited music release, Gautham Menon's Ye Maya Chesave stars Naga Chaitanya and newcomer Samantha. The music is composed by the Mozart of Madras, A.R Rahman. The album has seven songs. 'Kundanapu Bomma' is a mesmerizing number rendered by Benny Dayal; Kalyani Menon has penned and rendered by Devan Ekambaram and Chinmayi, is a lovable number.'Swaasye' has awesome singing by Karthik and Vivek Agarwal with all emotions. This composition certainly takes you to the other side of the musical horizon. ' Ee hridayam' is a soothing number by Vijay Prakash; Suzanne's haunting interludes exaggerates the flavour; to top it all is Blaaze, who gives the song its peppy feel. Naresh Iyer rocks the youthful sophisticated track 'Aakaasam'; Rahman goes crazy with the electronic sound in this song, which will definately be popular among Gen X. Vintunnavaa' is a song about forgiveness and second chances; everyone will be able to relate to it, as we all have gone through the pain that Karthik and Shreya Ghoshal express in their voices. The music is in sync with the lyrics, a wonderful musical marriage. 'Aaromale', which starts with the soft strumming of a guitar, is a full length Malayalam song penned by Kaithaparam. Alphonse's voice has a distinct heart-wrenching yearning. it is almost a spiritual experience.
